Platinum is white in color and hypo allergic, and very durable. It is not like white gold that require replating and it also won’t fade or tarnish like white gold does. It is good for diamond and gemstone setting because of its density, and it also creates a patina that many people love.

Platinum costs similar to 18k gold. However, at Platizem, we manufacture in our own unit, which means our platinum jewelry is priced more competitively than traditional retail stores. You're getting premium quality without the extra cost involved.

Platinum is considered low maintenance. You can simply clean your platinum jewelry with warm soapy water using a soft toothbrush occasionally. We offer professional cleaning services, and store platinum jewelry separately from other pieces to prevent scratches.

Most of the platinum jewelry is crafted in 95% pure platinum (950 Platinum) or 90% pure i.e, 900 platinum. This makes platinum purer than 14k and 18k gold, which is only 58% and 75% pure gold respectively.

Platinum is hypoallergenic and one of the safest metals for sensitive skin. If you've had reactions to other jewelry, platinum is an excellent choice. It's so biocompatible that it's even used in medical implants.

Gold

It represents gold purity 9k has purity of 37.5% similarly 14k gold represents 58.3% purity and 18k has 75% pure gold. The higher number means high amount of gold used. We recommend 14k and 18k gold for making jewelry as they offer perfect balance of metals.

White gold is also yellow gold only mixed with metals like palladium or nickel then plated with rhodium for attaining the shine. Although platinum is naturally white and premium metal which does not require much plating.

Yes, rose gold is real gold only mixed with copper, which gives it the pinkish-red color. The gold amount is same as the yellow gold it’s just the color difference. Rose gold has become incredibly popular for its romantic, vintage-inspired look.

Real gold jewelry comes with a hallmark sign or stamp which indicated karat like 14k,18k. We provide all our pieces with proper certification and hallmarking.

Gold plated jewelry do not gets considered in fine jewelry it comes in the category of imitation or artificial jewelry. Yes, you can go for it if your budget is low, although we recommend solid gold jewelry.

Silver

925 Silver or Sterling Silver comes with a purity of 92.5% and it is mixed with 7.5% other metals mainly copper for durability and strength. Pure silver has 99.9% purity and it is too soft for jewelry making.

Yes, pure silver is hypoallergenic, On the other hand sterling silver has other metals mixed which may cause reactions in very sensitive skin. If you have metal allergies we recommend going for platinum.

Off course you can wear you silver jewelry daily as it is durable enough for daily wear. Our recommendation will be to remove it when swimming, showering or applying perfumes.

Real silver jewelry comes with a hallmark stamp indicating 925 Silver or Sterling Silver. We provide all our pieces with hallmarking for your piece of mind.

Moissanite costs almost 70-90% less than the diamonds making it the affordable choice for diamond jewelry with similar or sometime more brilliance than diamonds, go for it if you want maximum shine under budget.

Moissanite can last lifetime as it is exceptionally durable and has a rating of 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale making it perfect for daily wear and doesn’t get easily scratched. Compared to diamonds moissatine is an excellent alternative.

Lab Grown Diamonds

Lab Grown Diamonds are real diamonds only it has the same chemical composition, structure and physical properties like mined diamonds. The only difference here is real diamonds gets mined and lab grown diamonds are created in laboratory.

Lab Diamonds gets created by two methods Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT). Both the methods produce quality diamonds identical to mined diamonds.

Lab grown diamonds will cost you 40-70% less because it doesn’t require mining and less labor-intensive. They are ethical are identical like the mined or real diamonds.

The lab diamonds creation method doesn’t require mining which damages the earth. Lab made diamonds are created in under controlled environments in labs. If ethical sourcing matters to you go for lab grown diamonds.

No, it is almost impossible to tell the difference with naked eye, they are identical to mined diamonds. Even the experts require sepcialized equipment to tell the difference. As they are identical to mined diamond, they will have the same sparkle and brilliance.

Natural Diamonds

Natural diamonds are rare and take millions of years to form that’s why they become more valuable. All the natural diamonds are unique and formed deep in Earth under very extreme condition.

Natural diamonds are graded using the 4C’s – Cut (how well it is shaped), Color (colorless to yellow or brown), the Clarity (inclusions or flaws), and the Carat which simply means weight of the diamond.

Ethical sourced diamonds are considered as conflict free diamonds without any violations and human right abuses. Kimberly Process (KP) established by government, which certifies diamonds as conflict free.

Diamonds were never a great investment although natural diamonds can hold its value, but not a proper financial investment like gold or stocks. Only the rare, unique and high carat weight diamonds have some good investment potential.

Natural diamonds and lab diamonds has the same physical composition and structure. Difference here is the origin; natural diamonds are formed deep within earth in millions of years and lab diamonds are created in labs within weeks using CVD or HPHT methods.
